Lil Ed & The Blues Imperials

Welcome back my fellow Blues lovers! For my post this week I am featuring photos of an artist that knows how to entertain an audience, Lil Ed Williams. Along with his band, The Blues Imperials, he puts on a very entertaining show. The photos are from a Feb. 21 show at Iridium Jazz Club. This was my second time catching Lil Ed. For this show he had Joe Louis Walker join after about 45 minutes and the chemistry was evident. I’ll have the Joe Louis Walker photos posted in the near future. Lil Ed’s band is comprised of guitarist Mike Garrett, bassist James “Pookie” Young, drummer Kelly Littleton. They’ve been together 20+ years which I think is quite an accomplishment these days. If you haven’t had the chance to see Lil Ed and The Blues Imperials perform I would highly recommend catching one of their shows. To watch Lil Ed perform is to watch a man that clearly loves what he’s doing. A good time will be had by all!
