RIP Hubert Sumlin

Hubert Sumlin (born November 16, 1931-died December 4, 2011). Hubert was an American Chicago Blues and electric Blues guitarist and singer. He was best known for his celebrated work, from 1955, as guitarist in Howlin’ Wolf‘s band. Hubert was listed as number sixty-five in the Rolling Stone 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time.

RIP Hubert.

The past few weeks have been trying in planning Hubert’s funeral. As most musicians, they play for the love of the music and little monetary reward. To lay Hubert to rest, there were not enough funds to do so. However, by the graciousness of Mr. Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, Hubert can now go home.
