3 Faces of the Blues
Live Performance Comes to Mississippi
(DALLAS) BlueStone Records, in cooperation with Dr. Hugh Leggett Promotions are proud to announce ‘3 Faces of
the Blues’ live performance at the Copiah-Lincoln Community College, Wesson, Mississippi.
This performance, to be held February 28, 2013 at 7pm, will feature the music of 2011’s Blues Album of the Year
(American Blues News Magazine,) ‘3 Faces of the Blues.’
Featuring the music of Rev. KM Williams, Washboard Jackson, Jeff Stone, Charlie Love and Sherry Jackson Pruitt,
who will be backed by the choir from the Mississippi School of Arts, this show is a tribute to the relationship between
Gospel and the Blues, as well as to the roots of the music.

3 Faces of the Blues expresses a journey of the origins of America’s musical heritage, as Rev. KM Williams,
Washboard Jackson and Jeff Stone pay tribute to the masters of the Mississippi Delta. Their unique blend of Gospel
Blues played with all of the elements of a roots evolution to our present time.
Charlie Love, one of Chicago’s mainstays of the city’s long blues history, portrays an evolution of the music as it
migrated north, from the Delta to Chicago. The ‘big city’ sound, as it was created back then, is evident in the passion
and delivery of Charlie’s sound. This tribute honors that period after the blues expanded during the 50’s and 60’s.
Sherry Jackson Pruitt, the God-Daughter of Mahalia Jackson, sings with the power and passion that only comes from
deep within one’s soul. Just as the early women singers throughout the history of both Gospel and Blues, Sherry
delivers through her voice a God-given gift that is truly to be experienced.
Rev. KM Williams recent successful tour of Israel, had his latest release ‘When I Rise’ rising to the #1 Blues album
throughout the Holy Land. ‘Trainreck’ the band consisting of Rev. Williams, Washboard Jackson and Jeff Stone has
just released ‘Live at Old Town School of Music’ recorded last June during the week they opened the Chicago Blues
Festival.
Charlie Love has recently returned from a world-wide engagement that allowed him to share his blues and message
from Italy to Eastern Europe and from the Caribbean throughout the US. His album ‘So Happy I Could Cry’ has
received international acclaim.
Sherry Jackson Pruitt was a finalist at the 2012 International Blues Challenge (IBC) in Memphis,TN. Her
performances have become legendary as she seized the opportunity to share her powerful Gospel Blues. From her
roots in Beaumont, TX to the stage in Memphis, Sherry has the journey that mirrors the legends of the blues.

of the Blues project.
