Contest for Blues Festival Artwork
Organizers of Wasaga Beach Blues are looking for submissions of artwork to use in the festival’s promotional material. The chosen artwork will appear on posters, T-shirts and other materials used to promote the September event. The contest is open to all ages. Submissions must be received electronically by midnight on May 15. Please e-mail submissions to art@wasagabeachblues.com.
The public will be asked to vote on submissions starting May 24. The creator of the chosen art will receive Stonebridge Bucks, a T-shirt, an article with photographs in Stonebridge Magazine, an invitation to the Wasaga Beach Blues media launch and two tickets to the Wasaga Beach Blues Boogie Woogie Blues Banquet.
The third annual Wasaga Beach Blues music festival will be held Sept. 13-15 at the Stonebridge Town Centre in Wasaga Beach. Chuck Jackson of the legendary Downchild Blues Band is the musical director. One of Ontario’s newest blues festivals, Wasaga Beach Blues will feature a range of blues musicians and styles.
While it is a free music festival, donations to the Wasaga Beach Public Library building fund will be accepted.
